Super Sunday!!!

January 30, 2017

Super Bowl Sunday, Americas unofficial holiday.  In less than one week we will all be gathered around the big screen to cheer our team on to victory!  It is a tradition long shared by people all across this great nation.  It doesn't matter what is going on in the world, people come together on this very Super Sunday to cheer on their team.  It's a great day to get together and show your love and support of the NFL. Here are a few fun facts about the super bowl to mull over while you are enjoying your favorite snacks.

*The game between the New York Jets and the Baltimore Colts in 1969 was the first time the                 league used Roman numerals and the official Super bowl name.  By the way, the Jets won that             game.

*Super bowl Sunday is the second-highest day of food consumption after Thanksgiving *Beer is             the drink of choice.  Consumption has declined somewhat, but beer is still the favorite                           beverage.

*It has been estimated that 1.3 million chicken wings will be eaten on super bowl Sunday                       *Vegetable trays and baby carrots have been the most popular food items eaten during this                   popular game for the last 30 years.

It doesn't matter weather you are a Patriots fan or a Falcons fan this year.  What does matter,  we come together as a nation to cheer on one of Americas favorite pastimes.  I wonder if we could get a petition going to declare the Monday after super bowl Sunday as a national holiday?!
